Drunk and impaired driving is one of the leading causes of preventable death in Texas.
The reality is simple:

People don’t drive impaired because they want to — they do it because they lack a safe, affordable way home.

Samaritans of Texas bridges that gap.

How the Safe Ride System Works

Uber Riders

  • Up to 10 discounted rides/month

  • Rider pays the first $4

  • City of Georgetown subsidizes up to $10

  • Rider pays anything over $14

  • Must start & end inside service area

zTrip (Wheelchair Accessible Vehicles)

  • Unlimited Trips

  • Rider pays the first $4

  • Must start & end in the service area

  • WAV accessible

Where It Works

Eligible areas include:

  • City limits of Georgetown

  • Baylor Scott & White – Round Rock

  • Ascension Seton Williamson – Round Rock

Our Role

Samaritans of Texas:

  • Promotes the program across bars, restaurants, and venues

  • Provides emergency support during holidays and high-risk weekends

  • Educates the community on safe transportation

  • Works with churches and businesses to expand ride access
